- Place chicken in the Crockpot. Sprinkle with spices and pour salsa over the top.
- Cook on low for 5β6 hours or on high for 2.5β3 hours
- Use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the Crockpot.
- (Optional) Stir in cream cheese or Greek yogurt and let melt for 10β15 minutes on warm setting.
- Serve as tacos, over rice, on salads, or in wraps.
Notes
- Shred chicken while itβs hot for the easiest shredding.
- If your salsa is watery, drain off a little liquid before serving to keep the chicken saucy but not soupy.
- Add veggies like corn, black beans, or bell peppers for a heartier meal.
