Ingredients

  • 1 (3-4 lb) Chicken
  • 2-3 tbsp butter room temperature
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Method

  1. Take chicken out of fridge and let it come to room temperature at least 30 minutes before prepping.
  2. Pre-heat oven to 450℉.
  3. Pat chicken dry
  4. Place your chicken in a cast-iron pan. Spread butter all over the chicken and then add your spices to a small bowl mix together and sprinkle over the butter.
  5. Place your chicken in the oven and bake for 1 hour or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165℉ and the juices run clear.
  6. Cut up chicken and enjoy.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
  • Make sure to season well for the most flavor.
  • Let the chicken rest to distribute juices throughout for a tender chicken.
