Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and baking soda.
In a separate bowl, stir together melted coconut oil or butter, maple syrup, vanilla, and 3 tablespoons of milk.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms. Add an extra tablespoon of milk if needed.
Roll small, pea-sized pieces of dough into balls and place them on the baking sheet.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the puffs are set. They’ll continue to crisp as they cool.
Let the cereal cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
